Variable internet shortcut?

Asked by Mikeenubuntu

Id like to input an alias for an url, and then press tab for tweaking the url. For example, the url would be and then i could change the "something" to "something2" in the second tab. And then "enter" for going to in my browser. If there is a link where I could read how to do this it would be great. Thanks!

There is a search plugin which will let you search things, Google being one of them, but there is no general way to attach parameters to a url. It would be very easy to write one that does this though.
