Searchable clipboard history (text) request

Hello Diodon developers,

I really appreciate Diodon — it’s an essential part of my workflow. One feature I often miss is the ability to search the clipboard history for past entries.

Currently, I can browse items manually, but as the history grows, it becomes difficult to find specific text snippets. A search function (filtering by text) would make Diodon much more powerful and user-friendly.

Thanks for your question. There is actually an issue for this at https://bugs.launchpad.net/diodon/+bug/891042. As of limited timed though, this is currently not planned. There is a plugin on https://github.com/RedHatter/diodon-plugins which allows something like this.

Unfortunately those plugins are currently not maintained. However, as outlined in my response in https://answers.launchpad.net/diodon/+question/822798 only the build system would need to be updated for those plugins to work again.

If anyone is found to do this, that would be very much appreciated.
