Shortcut Keys not working?

Asked by Joel

I am unable to get any shortcut key combo to respond. I am using Ubunutu 12.04 LTS with default unity and stable diodon.

Are there instructions on the correct syntax for the keyboard shortcut config? All I want to do is use the combo <Ctrl>` (Ctrl + tilde) to open the list of clipboard history. Am I missing something obvious here as to how to set this up?

Cheers!

There is unfortuantly a bug that shortcuts with special characters are not working.

There is Bug #1232894 reported which I have linked to this questions.

Hope that we will be able to fix this issue.

Those hotkeys are a bit of a head ache... There is another issue you are probably experincing which is a timing issue on how fast the hotkey is pressed.

This issue is present since 13.04 and most likely a GTK or X11 regression in the newer version available but yet to be confirmed by the GTK team. You can find more details in Bug #1174342

A workaround for now is to press the hotkey faster, especially leaving the V button within a short time. Hope this works for a workaround.

We keep on trying to find a better solution for this issue.

Can you help with this problem?
