Libreoffice 4.2.8.2 Impress crashes after copying text

My impress frequently crashes when I am copying text. The slides are black and white and do not contain many pictures, just text. I cut and then all of office becomes unresponsive and I need to kill the process. What is the problem? can it be solved?
