what is the default file location for contact files?

Where and how does Dexter store contact details? I want to be able to back up the necessary files so that if I need to reinstall my OS I can simply drop the necessary files back in afterwards. I know there is an 'Export to vCard' option but that isn't quite what I'm after.

Also is it possible to change the default location to somewhere else? I.E. - /home/user/backupDIR

Current OS id Fedora 17 but I also use Mint 13

Ok, I've managed to sort it out.

I moved the folder /home/<myuser>/.local/share/dexter to /home/<myuser>/backupdir/dexter and then created a symlink in the original location to point to the new directory.

This way I can have this folder syncronised with my cloud and used on all of my systems without the need to import/export on each system as and when I make changes to the address book.
