I installed Ubuntu 9.04 NBR on my Asus Eee PC 701 yesterday and switched to Classic Desktop, as Netbook Desktop has painfully slow response. Rebooted and now I am left with just a background and no panel. Could someone please advise on either how to apply this fix or at least how to switch back to Netbook Desktop? The problem is that because I don't have panel, I have no idea on how to apply this.
