Mini 9 internet no connection

Good evening, Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Have new Dell Mini 9 with Ubuntu.The system has never recognized the internet. I did everything by the book and re-did it over and over again. I've read all the related problems and tried those also. Please help. This system is on its way back to Dell if I can't access the internet. I have a Linksys wireless system with 2 desktops and 1 laptop connected without any problems. The Mini 9 wifi is enable, the wl driver is enabled, the wireless connection is enabled. I've also did all the terminal recommendations. Please help, I'm quite frustrated with the system.

How is your router configured ?

I had to change my security settings on the router so I could connect reliably. This meant changing from WPA to WPA2 TKIP+AES on my router. I know many people have WEP encryption by default (which is easily defeated), so checking your security settings may help.
