The tutorial mentioned in the above post worked for me as well. I also used steps 1, 2e, and 3.

$ lspci | grep Broadcom
  03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4310 USB Controller (rev 01)

$ lspci -n | grep '14e4:43'
  03:00.0 0280: 14e4:4315 (rev 01)
