close button while backuping

Asked by jeanmarc

Hi everyone,

I am using Déjà dup since few hours and i found it really convenient !
Is it possible to have a pop up to confirm that you want to close the application ?

You may look at datastorageunit.com as a pre-established storage provider. They have a great support for open source tools.
And the last request, it would be really nice if you make a déjà dup version for Haiku OS :)

Thanks

That's an interesting question. While normally are-you-sure popups are discouraged by the HIG, it would make sense if it meant you had to restart a backup. But these days, with a recent enough Deja Dup and Duplicity, you will be able to resume a backup if you stop in the middle of it. So there's less need for it. I'd like to avoid a dialog if possible, but I'll think about it.

datastorageunit.com looks interesting, but you can already use it by just sshing to it.

I myself probably won't package Deja Dup for Haiku, but I'd be glad to help someone else interesting in packaging it.

Can you help with this problem?
