Déjà Dup

Could I back up to a DVD?

I just installed and I want to make a master restore disk on a dvd. Is this possible and if not, what utility do you recommend?

You could. I would recommend first backing up to a local directory first. Then burning the resulting files to a DVD. You should be able to restore directly from that DVD later by pointing Deja Dup at it.

I don't know of a different backup tool that would be more suited.
