Déjà Dup returns: Unknown Error

I installed Déjà Dup from the Ubuntu repos, using sudo aptitude install dejadup. Everything went O.K. When I called Déjà Dup, I changed the preferences to backup my /home to an external USB drive. My /home is about 20 gig at this time. The external USB drive is 80 gig. Should be no problem. I ran the backup, saw it was Preparing and minimized the windows. When I came back, the backup status window said: "Unknown Error". I closed Déjà Dup. I opened the 80 gig drive to see nothing backed up there. Sorry I can't give more specifics that this.
