Change Google Drive account

Asked by Michele Gambacorta

Using Deja Dop v. 40.6
Beginner user of Gnu-Linux

I would need to change the Google Drive account where my backup is stored but the UI does not allow me to do so. It just let me select "Google Drive", without providing me further info.
(it would be nice to have your user email next to "Google Drive", like so: "Google Drive <email address hidden>")

How can I do that? I tried searching a way but it is either referring to an old version or it is a closed thread.

Thank you for your time

This was fixed in 42.0 by allowing you to reset your Google authorization in the preferences screen.

But for 40.6, you can do same thing by opening the app “Passwords and Keys”, going to the login section, and searching for “google credentials for a Deja Dup” and deleting that entry. Then when you back up, it should reprompt to grant Google access.

Can you help with this problem?
