"Error creating directory: permission denied" on restore after 41.1 update

Asked by Simone

After updating to version 41.1 i cannot restore any backup, even if i create a new full backup.
The error message is : "Error creating directory /Images: permission denied" if i try to restore the Images folder under my home directory.
It happens either if i do a in place restore or a restore in an other folder. In version 40.6 i was able to restore without any problem through nautilus.

It seems that the folder that i choose to be restore is interpreted as relative to the root folder and not relative to my home folder (in the error message it print "/Images" not "/home/simone/Images"). If i try to restore as root user, it works.

The backup is done correctly, because i can restore it using duplicity without problems.

Déjà dup version 41.1 on Gnome 3.36.2.

Thank you for testing! I think that's a real bug with 41.1 -- should be fixed in 41.2 coming out soon.

Can you help with this problem?
