What operation system are you using? And are you using the version packaged with that OS or the snap version?

I am using ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Yes I believe it did come with the OS. It
just shows no controls when I open " back ups" and need to backup to a
backup drive. I am running out of space on my old dell-optiplex-755. I am
not to knowledgeable about " whats under the hood" though.
