How can I check the log files or control that the backup jobs were done properly?

Deja Dup does the job and this is fine. But I would need to have another page within the application where all the jobs are listed and their executing. I need to be able to check simply and easily what was going on and whether each backup job was running without any issues.
I simply dont like to be blindfolded. Thanks for any help.
