Restore Failed: Another duplicity instance is already running with this archive directory

I installed Deja Dup yesterday and backed up my home directory prior to doing a clean install of Ububtu Studio 18.04. After doing the install, I attempted to restore the backup to its original location. It started fine. I left it to finish. When I came back, the program was no longer running, so I assumed it was complete. But it has only restored my email and browser data and my documents folder. The Music, Video, Picture, folders are all empty. When I reopened Deja Dup and attempted to restore again, I get the following error message: "Restore Failed - Another duplicity instance is already running with this archive directory."

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured out how to use command lines to identify and kill the process and was able to successfully restart the restore process. I have no idea why it crashed in the first place.

wow.. this helps no one. I have this same problem, but you didn't give the solution
