Déjà Dup doesn't open a window when doing the backup

Asked by Mathieu Dubois

I have updated to 18.04.1 from 16.04.5 a few weeks ago and I noticed that Déjà Dup doesn't open a window when doing the planned backup like it used to (as far as I can say, the backup is done without problem).

I found this window convenient as it helped to know if the backup is finished and if anything went wrong.

I don't know if the disappearance of this window is a bug or a feature (I have found no option to re-activate it).

I have noticed that if I launch the backup manually (via the backup interface) then the usual GUI appears so I guess that the code is still here.

Does anybody have an idea ?

Thanks in advance,
Mathieu

P.S.: I have already asked the question on ubuntu forums (https://askubuntu.com/questions/1075373/d%c3%a9j%c3%a0-dup-doesnt-open-a-window-when-doing-the-backup) without success.

Well, I discovered yesterday that if I click on the notification that appears when the backup starts, the usual window is displayed.

I am not fond of this so if someone knows how to display this window every time, I would be glad.
