How delete older backups to get back usable space ?

Asked by Coeur Noir on 2017-11-22

My 1To backup disk is full.

DejaDup says it can no longer perform backup, because of missing space.

I thought DejaDup would manage by itself the need of deleting older backups to always have enough place for newer backups.

What actions may I do to free some space on that 1To disk ?

( knowing that actual datas to backup are about 600 Go )

Ubuntu 16.04 here.

Is delete older files enough ?

Isn't it supposed to happen automatically ?
