incremental backup strategy

if I do backups periodically, does does deja-dup always do full backups?
are there plans to leverage the incremental backup features of duplicity, like: "do a full backup every week and incremental ones every day"?

Currently, Deja Dup always does incremental (except of course the first time).

The duplicity maintainers recommend occasionally doing a full backup. I'd like to add support for what you suggest, some sort of strategy, involving occasional full backups. But I haven't fleshed that thought out yet.
