Restore File - Linux Mint

Asked by David De Zwirek on 2017-02-10

I am running the Backup GUI with Linux Mint 18.1. I would like to restore a lost file - the instructions tell me to use FILE https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/DejaDup/Help/Restore/LostFile However when I do so (NEMO - the Mint Nautilus) there is no "Restore Missing Files ..." under File.
How can I restore one file? I run the Backup daily over a selection of my Home directory
THANKS!

Ah those instructions are targeted at GNOME users. You'll need to use Nautilus to get the menu integration.

Alternatively, you can use the command line: deja-dup --restore-missing path/to/directory

Wow - that was fast! I have now put in Nautilus and was successful finding the files. Much Appreciated!

Thanks again Michael - FYI - I have found the issue listed as a bug - https://bugs.launchpad.net/deja-dup/+bug/1108726 - and have added one aimed as Nemo rather that Deja Dup - https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/1673004
