Is Déjà Dup still actively developed?
Finding a backup tool that does not depend on cron, has decent GUI and is well integrated into system is not an easy task (if you don’t want to write your own scripts for automation of CLI tools, as it seems). Déjà Dup seemed to work nicely with Ubuntu 15.10, so I just kept using it, but after my recent upgrade to 16.04 and then straight to 16.10, I encountered some issues, e.g. having one of the excluded folders always listed twice in Déjà Dup settings, some „Operation pending” errors and UI glitch (“Details” widget not expanding properly and being too short in “Performing backup” window). I browsed Déjà Dup bugs page on Launchpad and I saw quite a bit of them, some – a hundred years old. Then I checked release history. Version 34.0 released 2015-04-10, 34.1 – 2015-11-29, 34.2 – 2016-04-07. That’s six months without a minor version bump.
So here’s my question – is this tool still being developed, or at least maintained?
