Restore - failed to restore

Asked by John Hill

A recent event necessitated a restore, however the restore bulked very early in the process and hence was useless. I obviously ignored a message earlier as I mention below.
I have recovered from that event and initiated a backup and received a message stating that - two file could not be backed up and could I make sure I was able to open them.
Q1. Is it because a file could not be opened it could not be backed up?
Q2. Could the above situation cause restore failure?

I enjoy the simplicity of Deja Dup and want to continue to use it, but must work affectively for me.

If a Deja Dup save creates a message that say 2 files could not be saved, does that make a restore invalid?

What info would or should Deja Dup display if the saved backup is not restoreable?

Cheers John
