Deja-Dup. Enable encrpytion?

Asked by EricDHH

Few years ago i setup deja-dup to backup without encryption to make it a bit faster. But today there is enough cpu power, so i want to enable encryption again. But there is no setting in deja-dup for that, i searched with dconf-editor within the settings and did not found a key to enable encryption. In passwords & encryption tool i found an old dejadup entry and removed it.
But deja-dup wont ask for a password and did not backup with a password. How to solve this?

You have to start a new backup. You can't convert a backup from one to the other. So change the location to a new folder and start a fresh backup.
