deja-dup --backup --auto never terminates

Asked by Siddu on 2013-10-16

After a scheduled backup completes, the deja-dup --backup --auto process never terminates, and makes it so that the monitor is perpetually waiting for the previous back to "finish" before it starts the next scheduled one. This only happens when a file exists that was not readable by duplicity. Deja dup notifies me that some files were not able to be backed up and says "see dialog for details" but no dialog is ever shown. Could Deja dup be waiting on this dialog to be OK'd before it terminates? Because of this, automatic backups will not work for me unless I manually do something to terminate the process or restart my computer.
