Search all backups for a specific file

How would I search all backup revisions for a specific file? Is there a command line option or file to search, grep through?

You'll have to use duplicity directly, and a combination of the collection-status and list-current-files (with --time) commands. :-/

That's basically what Deja Dup does in it's "Restore Missing File" mode.
