Why am I getting this repeatedly: Giving up on request after 5 attempts, last status 400 Bad Request

Asked by Jim Chatman

Each time I try to backup, I get this message. I just updated to 13.04 yesterday, but I've been having problems with Deja Dup for several weeks. I thought the upgrade would fix it, but I guess not.

This is a Toshiba Satellite L305.

I have tried to backup several times, keep getting the same error ( Giving up on request after 5 attempts, last status 400 Bad Request ).

I am connected to the internet.

Similar problem here (Ubuntu 13.04 64 bit version).

I often get:
1. "Giving up on request after 5 attempts, last status 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR"
2. or the very similar, however with AUTHORIZATION ERROR.
I am connected to the Internet, I am logged into Ubuntu One and I do have rights to files which I would like to include in backup.

Previously in 12.04.02 LTS and in 12.10 (both 64 bit versions) it works perfectly.
