Déjà Dup keeps all full backups

Asked by Andy

Hello.

I learned from several alread answered questions, that Déjà Dup (or duplicity?) keeps "at least" two full backups.

With my S3-Backup I set "keep backups for at least 28 days" — but on the S3 Storage there's ALL full backups, back half a year!

This is really annoying since quite expensive!

Is this a bug? Can I see a logfile somewhere? What duplicity-command do I need to delete those old backups?

are you sure these are not just files that have not changed for a year? Duplicity's man page (Ubuntu Backup / Deja Dup uses Duplicity behind the scenes) will not delete a backup file if the original file still exists unchanged in your source system - but it also will not back it up again.
