Deleting files from online backup

Asked by Brian Levin

This feels like a stupid question, but I have searched and searched on site and in the forum for an answer. I am making my first backup ever, to Ubuntu One in v.12-4. All I wanted to backup was a considerable number of music folders and files in different folders, but apparently I mistakenly asked for the whole /home/ directory to be backed up too! This includes even titles of DVDs I have watched... (strange) Now I want to delete from Ubuntu One all the files I don't want backed up. How do I do this? Uploading is still happening and I need to Resume Later. Perhaps when everything is uploaded I will be given the option to delete files, I don't know. Thanks for any help.

Since writing my question, I have discovered the Ubuntu One folder in my Home Folder. It contains "Shared With Me", which is empty... (Writing this, I have a window saying "There is 1 error" under line of bug links)

Try going to one.ubuntu.com and unmark the deja-dup/HOSTNAME folder for synchronization. This will delete it from Ubuntu One. HOSTNAME will be the hostname of the machine you backed up with.
