Deja Dup didn't create manifest file

Asked by Łukasz Kowalkowski

Hi,

I have big problem. Using Deja Dup I made backup of all my files from /home folder to my external hard drive. After install of ubuntu 12.10 (then it was 12.04) using Deja Dup I wanted to restore all my files back to /home. Instead of restoration I've got this communicate "No backups to restore". Searched for some advice, but almost all of them are touching this manifest file, which obviously wasn't created in my external hd. I have just 844 files of duplicity-full.20121018T220835Z.volxxx.difftar.gz

Is there any possibility to restore my data? There are my documents, photos, some movies. But most important are documents and photos and I haven't put any copy anywhere but through deja dup in this external hd.

All of help will be taken with much of gratefulness.

Oh, that sounds awful, sorry. Sounds like the previous backup did not finish?

You can try to manually recover files by following the steps at the link below. Good luck!
