Why no UbuntuOne synchro with Deja-dup on Oneiric ?

Asked by 2beta

I try Ubuntu Oneiric (alpha 3) with Deja-dup (installed by default) in version 19.5. And there is absolutely no cloud option (no S3, UbuntuOne,...).

I saw a news ( http://iloveubuntu.net/deja-dup-has-just-received-ubuntu-one-support-oneiric-ocelot ) in the middle of June about this feature (for me UbuntuOne). Now I see nothing about that.

What is the problem ? Is this your problem/bug or Canonical problem/bug ?

How did you install Ubuntu? Was it a fresh install or a dist-upgrade from 11.04?

Do you have ubuntuone-couch installed? Without that package, Ubuntu One won't appear in the options.

I made the installation in VirtualBox. Then update with

apt-get update
apt-get upradre
apt-get dist-upgrade

But I didn't install ubuntuone-couch ! I will try that.
Is this an add-on/package from Ubuntu-one or Deja-Dup ?
Maybe it's written in the help file but now the help file is "not found" in oneiric.

Thank you,
sudo apt-get install ubuntuone-couch solved my problem.
But it was not easy to find this feature.
In Oneiric will it be "by default" installed, or do you planed to add a good help/tips to help user ?
