Error renaming temporary file: File exists

Hello,

I am backing up to a directory, which is linked to a samba share. Should be transparent to Deja Dup.

Thing is, it starts to do the backup, I can see that files are being backed up... and after 5-8% I get the error message: Backup Failed. Error renaming temporary file: File exists.

Any ideas?

That's an odd error. You should file a bug and provide the information the bug form requests, notably a deja-dup.log file.

Why backup to a symlink to an SMB server? Deja Dup can talk directly to SMB.

Can you help with this problem?
