Cannot locate restore files on unraid server

Asked by Loren41

I have been backing up files on an unRAID server using Deja Dup. My Firefox browser shows the files exist on /network/windows network/ workgroup/unraid/backup, but my Deja Dup no longer sees /network. This problem occurred after I upgraded my Ubuntu 10.04 to Ubuntu 11.1. Can someone help me repoint my backup program correctly? I need to recover my data files before the upgrade was made. Also wonder what backup location I should use - "Local Folder?"

Unraid is a local SMB server? What version of Ubuntu did you upgrade to, 10.10 or 11.04? Assuming you mean 11.04, you want to pick 'SMB' as the location, enter 'unraid' as the server, and enter 'backup' as the folder.

Michael,
Thanks for your reply. In answer to your questions, Unraid is a local server created on a local desktop, running Windows 7. My laptop is running Ubuntu 11.04 and Deja Dup. If I click on Home Folder and then Network, I can browse the network and locate my server, Unraid. Clicking on Unraid lets me few the Deja Dup duplicity files that I need to restore my old data backups.

When I click on Deja Dup/Restore, I cannot find Network or Unraid. I tried setting the Backup location to Local Folder. Trying different combinations in Folder, the Browser only takes me to my Ubuntu Home directory. What am I doing wrong?

Oh, my instructions were poor before. Try these:

1) Choose "Windows Share" as the location (not "Local Folder")
2) Enter "unraid" as the server
3) Enter "backup" as the folder

Can you help with this problem?
