Déjà Dup

Does Déjà Dup exclude folder/files by default?

Hello,

reading though the helpfile and the homepage [1] and the lp answers it is not clear weather some folders are excluded by default.

In particular I think about
/tmp
~/.cache
~/.thumbnails
firefox cache

I would consider these folders as not worth backing up.

Are there any folders excluded by default?

Yes. To see the list of folders that are secretly always excluded (unless you specifically re-enable them), see the help documentation. Go to Help->Contents and click on the Preferences section.

For 18.0, the list will be:

~/.adobe/Flash_Player/AssetCache
~/.cache
~/.gvfs
~/.Private
~/.recent-applications.xbel
~/.recently-used.xbel
~/.thumbnails
~/.xsession-errors
/proc
/sys
/tmp
