when backing up to amazon s3 does the backup still do incremental backups?

when backing up to amazon s3 does the backup still do incremental backups?
also does it do it like rsync so i'm not uploading data more then once or accessing s3 excessive amount of times

Yes, it will still do incremental backups on S3, and it does use librsync under the covers. :)
