Did either of you find a solution to this? I had the same problem with 17.10. I've recently updated to 18.04 and still getting the same error message:

GPGError: GPG Failed, see log below:

gpg: WARNING: "--no-use-agent" is an obsolete option - it has no effect
gpg: decrypt_message failed: Unknown system error
