Upstream removed ashmem support in 721412ed3d saying
"The mainline replacement for ashmem is memfd, so remove the legacy code
from drivers/staging/"
This seems to partially revert #901492, but there is no anbox-modules in
the archive, even though the ITP bug was closed.
