- CONFIGURE_INTERFACES can be used to disable interfaces configuration.
- Individual interfaces can be excluded with EXCLUDE_INTERFACES.
- Extra verbosity may be requested with VERBOSE.
* When ifup is being run with --force -n, always report errors regardless of
ifstate.
