unable to open file to restart process on mac
Hello,
I don't say any way to open the map file and restart the process.
Is there any way to do that? I am using ddr rescue gui.
note from developer of dir rescue
When used from the command line, you just press Control-C and run again
the same command with the same mapfile. It will show the amount of data
already rescued and continue from there. I don't know how DDRescue-GUI
allows you to select a mapfile, etc. You'll need to read the
documentation of DDRescue-GUI.
How can I do this using your gui program?

To restart the recovery, simply select the same input, output, and log files again, changing any other settings you wish to change, and press the Start button.
For more detail, have a look at the user guide at https:/

Hello,
I tired that but, all it says is save and it says it will override it.
I would say there should be a file and open command. But the filemenu is
empty.

It will work - read the user guide for more information on this. If you're concerned, you can always make a backup copy of the map file before you do this.

As seen in pic it only says it will over write it. Should I say yes and
ignore it.
I would think it should say open somewhere.

Hi,
Yes you should say yes and ignore it, this is an issue on macOS where I can't silence the overwrite warning for some reason.
The "too many files" issue can occur when there are spaces in the filenames or paths to the files - I will release a fix for that soon, but in the mean time, you should be able to use macOS as you did before with no issues.
