Asked by nadie

I have used DC before with no problems. I have set up an active account with manual ports, with no problem before.

I currently have an active account with manual ports and can not get search results. I have gone through all troubleshooting, faqs, suggestions and still have not found a solution.

I have turned off all firewalls, after allowing DC and my specified ports access. I can download hub lists, and users are uploading from me. But I can not download or get search results. I have checked my ports on canyouseeme.org and they are not detectable because of timeout error.

What else can I do...I do not want to go passive?

I ran a UPnP test, even thought I am using manual ports and these were my results;
TEST 1 - Operating System Support - PASSED
TEST 2 - SSDP Service Running Check - PASSED
TEST 3 - SSDP Service Automatic Check - PASSED
TEST 4 - UPnPHost Service Running Check - PASSED
TEST 5 - UPnPHost Service Automatic Check - PASSED
TEST 6 - UPnP Framework Firewall Exception Check - FAILED
TEST 7 - Adapter #0 - 192.168.1.10 - FAILED
TEST 8 - Get External IP Address - FAILED

UPnP Test Program v1.15 Copyright Mark Gillespie 2005
Bugs/Comments to: <email address hidden>
Please do not email me UPnP support requests. I will not answer them.

So then it has to be a firewall, but i can't find which one.

What version of DC++ are you currently using & OS as in XP, Vista or Windows 7?

If you are using the current version of DC++ & XP SP3, try this:
TEST 6 - UPnP Framework Firewall Exception Check - PASSED
Go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, Add/Remove Window Components, scroll down + enable Networking Services & click Details. On Networking Services enable Internet Gateway Device & Control Client & UPnP User Interface & hit OK.

TEST 7 - Adapter #0 - 192.168.1.10 - FAILED you have to open port numbers by going to the router's page, as in 192.168.x.x. Go this page to find out the brand of router that you are using: http://www.portforward.com

TEST 8 - Get External IP Address - FAILED

In order for Test 7 & 8 to pass, make sure you have the allow rule created on your anti-virus if you are using Vista or Windows 7.
