DC++

I recieve an error registering Magnet link error, how can i solve this?

I'm connected to a hub, but when I try to download or search nothing happens. I get disconnected and dc tells me to change my nickname, because it has already been taken. I've been doing that forever and I try to use really difficult names. But whenever I change my name it tells me the same thing. What can I do please help!

When you are in a hub of 1,000 or more users, sometimes you get disconnected & force to change nick. My advice would be try other hub network that is stable. It's very rare that will happen in a hub of 100 users or less.

What version of DC++ are you currently using & OS as in XP, Vista or Windows 7?

I have been a client before and have had wonderful sucess with DC++,
I have been out touch for a couple of years but have always enjoyed my time sharing with likewise DJs.
I am just really stuck and need to find a solution to this
Magnet error.
Please help so I can share and download.

If you get the error about the magnet link then your DC++ client is trying to write to an folder where you don't have the rights to do so. Change it and try again.
