Asked by Ethan

Same issue as others were having but the machine said i should start a new topic. :/
... or i misunderstood...
and no those FAQs are the basic troubleshoot.

DC++ Ver .75 (r1667) Windows7 Ultimate (fresh install)
DMZ or Port forwarding (several different combo. for giggles),
firewall enabled with DC++ TCP/UDP exception OR Disabled.
Also tried service stop/disable on BFE/IPSEC/Firewall/Defender
same result...
Connect to hub just fine. Chat. Upload works. but no download or search functionality.

Stopped several more services mostly reporting/communication/logging stuff
(i'm pretty sure, though i went through and disabled whatever I assumed to be M$ BS without actually looking into it past reading the description and checking dependencies... :B )
something in there made it possible to go active, but search results are slim and I get a connection refused from users. I'm trying to narrow which svc i disabled did it but it wasnt the firewall/bfe etc etc I started those back up.

You're welcome.
The linked faq covers everything about problems using active mode in DC++. If none of them works then maybe your problem is not related to your local configuration (ISP firewalling, etc...)
Did you ever use any other p2p client (torrents, etc...) in active mode from this connection?

Can you help with this problem?
