System Log: Error creating magnet key

In the system log it says "error creating magnet registry key. Than in the hub that I use "albany.mine" it says "an attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions." What do I need to do to be able to log onto DC and share items? I know that these are two separate problems, but I'm not sure how to fix either of them. This just started happening this semester also. Last semester I was able to go on DC anytime and than when I returned to school I could not do anything.
