Avoiding redownloading files

Asked by cogita

Hi,
I'm working on a laptop with a limited space (~10 Gigs) available. To overcome this, I've been transferring my completed downloads to my desktop machine when I return each evening. However, as time progresses, I end up wasting time and space redownloading files I have already gotten. I was wondering if a feature or workaround exists whereby I could store a list of previous TTH describing the files I've downloaded, and ignore files already in that list.

There's no such function currently. However, you can expect a solution in the next version, where it seems you'll have a setting to keep already downloaded files in the download queue. I don't know how it'll work exactly because the function is only partially implemented at the moment. But if you'll be able to leave downloaded items in the queue I suppose the existing 'Don't download what's already in the queue' will work for you nicely....

Thanks, that looks like it would work nicely. Any idea on the timeframe for the next version?
