Accidently uninstalled DC++, is there a way to recover files?

Asked by jaclynnh

I unistalled DC++ and didn't realize that all my downloaded files were delete with the uninstallation! Now I've lost ALL my music!! HELP! Is there a way to recover these? My operating system is Windows XP. I do not remember which version of DC++ I had since I unfortunately deleted it.

If you went to uninstall.exe of DC++, it will ask you a question. As in, do you want to delete the xml files, Downloads, Incomplete on C:\Program Files\DC++? If you hit yes, the xml files, Downloads, Incomplete on the C:\Program Files\DC++ have been removed permanently. If you hit no & deleted the file specifically and/or step-by-step, chances are portions of items from xml files, Downloads, Incomplete on the C:\Program Files\DC++ will be present.

Try system restore as a last resort.

If you used the latest version of DC++ your downloads are in your user profile which isn't deleted by the uninstaller. Check C:\Documents And Settings\username\Application Data\DC++\Downloads.
The last resort is to use undelete (recovery) software.

Can you help with this problem?
