Asked by jayjayjay3

I have taken a hard drive from one pc to another. It let me reinstall dc and said it was saving the files etc but when I launch my 250g of incomplte files dont show. Is there a way to get round this? Any help would be great.

Is this hard drive internal or external?

What version of DC++ are you currently using & OS as in XP or Vista?

If you switch from 1 PC to another as in XP to Vista or vice versa, the hard drive letter of external hard drive changes. For example, external HD for XP is F:\ while G:\ for Vista, vice versa & that could likely be the case.

The downside to this when the letter of external hard drive changes is that you need to rehash the file over again in order for the file share to appear.

The only choice you have is patience to have the files completely hash.

I went from vista to vista. Was not so bothered about the rehashing of the shared files. It was the 250 gigs of incomplete downloads. Is there a clever way to get them re acknowledged but Dc. Both were the latest version of DC.

Try right-click & go to Recheck Intergity on every items that you have on Download Queue incomplete & try searching for alternate sources.
