TTH as username in queue?

Asked by retrogradesnowcone@gmail.com

For some reason I have a lot of sources listed as TTH's, ie {DGIODVIENKNK3456346XV} or something similar instead of a name. The thing is, these previously DID have a name.

What caused this, is there any way to reverse it, and how can I prevent it from happening?

If a user is online, the nick will display. If a user is offline, a Client Identification (CID) will display. This has been implemented since DC++ 0.686, I believe. When you have a file 100% complete on your Download Queue, the nick will display on Finished Downloads.

0.687 (2006-02-26)
CID is now shown if no nick name is currently available for a user

0.69 (2006-05-21)
CID of user shown if nick is missing (in queue for example)
Added display of CID in a few places

If you upgrade to 0.685 & above, as user identification method is changed you will lost your favorite users and all sources from your queue.

What version of DC++ are you currently & OS as in XP or Vista?

in the next version yet to be released, CID / nick tables will be saved so this shouldn't happen anymore. until then, the only way to reverse it is to connect to the hub where the corresponding user is on.

Can you help with this problem?
