DC++

"No users to download from" WRONGLY reported

I'm using DC++ 0.868 on Windows 10 64bit, in passive mode.

Some of my downloads show in my queue as "No users to download from" even though the user is available and the files exist.
I can grab a fresh file list and immediately download files from it, and still get this error.
When I try to "match queue" the files are matched, but still show as "No users to download from".
Same if I Re-Add source.
The other user is in active mode.

I am able to download from other users in the same hub, so it doesn't seem to be an issue of the hub.

System log doesn't show anything.

Is this a known issue, or is there a solution to this problem?

Check View/Logs whether there's any error added when you "grab a fresh file list and immediately download files from it". If no errors then choose a file and visually compare the TTH value between the filelist and your queue.
If it's still ok then it can also be an incompatibility with the source DC client. DC clients are more and more diverging these days from DC++, anything can happen. What does the source client's tag say in the hub window's user list?

Thanks for the answer EMTee.

The TTH's (and the file sizes) are exactly the same.
There's also no error in the logs, I added all the possible logs from the settings, there's nothing in them.

Interestingly, other people in the hub can download these files which I'm not able to...

The tag only says this:
Tag: <++ V:0.699,M:A,H:0/1/0,S:5>

Does this mean he is using DC++ version 0.699?
Should I downgrade my client's version to this one? Where can I even find it?

Tag can be easily faked so it can be anything, but probably some very old version.
We only support the latest version so I do not recommend any downgrade but DC++ has always been available as a portable version so a temporarily ran older portable version, unpacked to a separate folder, can be a solution. Also you can ask others to download and share those files for you.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/dcplusplus/files/OldFiles/DCPlusPlus-0.699.zip/download will get that portable version for you. Good luck.

Using the 0.699 client I'm able to download now.
