Connection closed error

Asked by Lynda S Van Etten

Hi there, I'm new to DC++. Recently I asked to join a private hub and was told I was registered. When I enter the information (nickname, password, etc.) I get connected, immediately (within 1 or 2 seconds) followed by "connection closed". I've already made sure I meet the minimum share requirements, tried several times to connect, restarted puter, uninstalled and reinstalled DC++ and made sure to be using the latest version. I also checked Windows Defender firewall and it's allowing connections from there as well as the program to run.

Any ideas as to what's wrong?
I'm using Windows 10 Professional Edition. I also have an antivirus but it does NOT have a firewall.
Thanx :)

The abrupt closure of connection suggest some issues hub side but from the timing you describe it's possible you connecting to the hub with a different protocol (nmdc/adc/adcs) than what it expects. Make sure you use a correct full hub address with the full URI (if available) and the port number (again if it's different than the default).

Can you help with this problem?
