Hashing and circling window

Asked by Brian Roberson

New Windows 10 build with 0.867. Core i5 3570. 8GB RAM.

Data share is a Synology connected via gigabit (mapped drive) Data is roughly 13GB of random material.

The following problems are noted:

1) Hashing never seems to stop and seems to restart any time program is restarted (from crash or windows update)

2) Routinely see circling wheel of wait where program is unresponsive till circling wheel stops doing whatever it is doing. Makses doing any routine tasks near impossible (and happens frequently)

Have tried to return to .6xx version but it doesn't seem to work or like Windows 10.

Is 13-14GB too much for DC++ especially over synology/LAN ?

Thanks.

13-14GB should not be too much for DC++ even over synology/LAN.
Do these problems started to appear after an upgrade to a new Win10 build?
What does "Hashing never seems to stop" mean exactly? You can always get a detailed progress info by opening the hash progress window so it's easy to check if it starts, stops or maybe chokes on some files.
