DC++0.75 cant connect to user with Eset Smart Security 4.0.314.0

Asked by ralapunga

Yes, i know how to unblock etc etc etc...
I do have a connection to the hubs, but cant connect to any user directly. They CAN download from me.
Problem stops when i disable Network Filtering. And yes, DC++ is allowed to connect to whatever.
I use manual portforwarding.

The problem happened after updating to 0.75. I allowed the change in Eset. Totally uninstalled DC++....removed the setting from Eset. But even a fresh DC++ insatllation has this problem.....

Any pointers in the right direction ?

If it works when you disable a certain component in Eset, then why don't you ask the same question to Eset support? This should be the usual problem when the security application does not allow a new version because its binary has changed thus they can point you the right direction what to do...
Btw. un/reinstalling DC++ usually does not help problems like this since the installer does not do more than copying program files to the program directory... the same what you can do manually if you choose the zipped version in the downloads...

Prevent ESET Smart Security from working in automatic mode.

It's a known problem and it's been there ever since DC++ and ESET Smart Security first met.

ESET are also lazy to update their network filtering definitions, adding new DC versions only weeks or months after their release (and sometimes not adding them at all, for certain DC clients).

Can you help with this problem?
